Know this

My Mom sent me an email out of the blue today.

The subject line read: “Know this:”

The email said:

that i love you more than:

beautiful clouds,

my hometown,

chocolate,

hot tea,

autumn,

the smell of fresh mowed grass or fresh baked bread,

dusk,

dancing,

smiling,

laughter,

strong giving women,

and weekends.

You are my sunshine,

my pride and joy

and my heart incarnate.

Just wanted you to know.  Mom

I know my Mom loves me, but it’s great to be reminded. And I’m so happy that she’s taught me to make sure I tell the ones I love: “Know this.”
